The beer garden at Belgian Beer Café Bluestone is considered one of Australia's largest with its beautiful surroundings, live music on Sundays and extensive BBQ menu.
Shaded by elm trees and set against a backdrop of historic architecture, the beer garden comes alive in summer with people flocking to enjoy the outdoors and warm sunshine.
BBQ
During summer the BBQ menu features a selection of European foods, including rotisserie chicken, grilled Bratwurst and the famous Belgian fries with mayonnaise served in white paper cones.
In keeping with the venues relaxed and casual atmosphere, an informal 'eat with your hands' style of eating is advocated.
Sunday Sessions
The beer garden becomes even more impressive in summer on lazy Sunday afternoons when live music - from jazz and hip hop to Latin and funky grooves - is held on the stage overlooking the bar and outdoor dining area, from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. (When the mercury drops, the entertainment moves indoors.)
Performers vary from week to week and include the likes of cabaret sensation Eugene Hamilton and Cuban jazz favourites Sally Ford & The Pachuco Playboys.
