BBC Bluestone - Functions

Functions

Ormond Hall
Since 2003, the owners of the Belgian Beer Café Bluestone have managed Ormond Hall - a beautifully restored Art Deco hall located next door to the Belgian Beer Café Bluestone and within the grounds of Vision Australia (the former Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind - RVIB).
Built in 1891 and remodelled in the 1920s, the hall was originally established as a music hall for the blind, and has since been used as a dance and live music venue.

Now fully refurbished with:

  • new sound and lighting equipment
  • wide music and theatrical stage
  • a movie screen
  • an authentic European bar
  • private courtyard.

Ormond Hall has officially made its comeback offering patrons all that
it used to be and much more.

The hall caters for a variety of needs, tastes and budgets including:

  • corporate events
  • private functions
  • festivals
  • musical performances, including cabaret
  • film screenings
  • theatre

The hall has also been sought out for photo shoots and television commercials.
Ormond Hall acts as the function facility of the Belgian Beer Café Bluestone and is able to provide the same menus and selection of Belgian beers.

Ormond Hall was recently the venue for Split Enz's press conference to announce their Australian tour.
