In winter 2006, the Belgian Beer Café Bluestone Film Club was launched at Ormond Hall, and gave film buffs - who are also beer and food lovers - the ideal place to go on cold winter nights.

The inaugural season included Pulp Fiction, Spanish Apartment, Blow, Moulin Rouge, Rocky 1, and The Shining.

The sell-out finale party was held on Sunday, 27 August 2006 and the evening commenced with complimentary finger food and draught Stella Artois, before a screening of Chocolat by Swedish director, Lasse Halström.

Film Club Members mingled with foodies, chocoholics and some of Melbourne's Swedish community to watch the film. The main hall was full and many people chose to sit in the warmth of the balcony.

A sticky finish was the result of orders for Belgian chocolate mousse, warm chocolate pudding with ice cream and Belgian waffles with chocolate sauce - and lots of hot chocolates served in tall parfait glasses.
