1,000 people welcomed 007 at the first ever NYE Party in Melbourne's biggest and liveliest beer garden at the Belgian Beer Café Bluestone.

The partygoers were entertained by Eugene Hamilton and his band, the Money, plus a DJ, and enjoyed Belgian draught beer, wine, basic spirits, as well as food from the BBQ and oyster bar.

A Night with Eddy Merckx
In conjunction with Portfolio Partners and the Belgian Beer Café Bluestone, Ormond Hall presented a Night with Eddy Merckx, a sell-out dinner, on Friday, 13 October 2006, where the cycling legend was the guest of honour.

Eddy Merckx is a national hero in Belgium who was five times winner of the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia, and was in Melbourne for the recent Herald Sun Tour.
The Belgian-inspired three course menu was be complemented by a range of fine Belgian beers.
Guests were delighted to have met the cycling legend and many had their photograph taken with Eddy Merckx and brought cycling memorabilia to be signed.
