This year’s party features event classics such as The Great Australian Mussel Eating Competition which will run over 3 heats and conclude with a final at 5:10pm. Test your skill against Torgeir “The Whale Eater” who has been defending champion for two year’s running.
The classic “Do It Yourself” Draughtmasters bar will also be a highlight of the festival. If you’ve ever wanted to learn to pour a Belgian Beer using the traditional nine step process this is your chance.
This year’s PBS live broadcast features a Rock ‘n’ Roll theme. DJ Doo Wop will playing for crowds from 1-3pm. This year's live broadcast begins 3pm with DJ Dingo and is followed by DJ Ruari from 5pm.
Watch out for Rock ‘n’ Roll dance performances & workshops by Sebastian’s dance school will run through the day. As well as an amazing hotrod display by the Sixties Muscle Car Club.
As always the festival features great live music. Watch The Detonators as they play their phenomenal mix of Rockabilly, R& B and ‘50’s Jive. This is followed up by crowd favourite The Bob Starkie Experience who brings his flair for the original sounds of ‘50s Rock n’Roll from Chuck Berry to Elvis. Catch this allstar lineup do their thang.
