The Belgian Beer Café Bluestone proudly introduces the Wintergarden. Stemming from the European tradition of bringing the indoor beer experience outdoors during the cooler months, the Wintergarden is still a new concept to Melbourne. Now you can savour your favourite Belgian beers and relax in a cosy, heated environment while aroma of freshly made Belgian waffles and winter soups to keep away the winter chill.

Having converted the popular Belgian Beer Café Bluestone beer garden, the Wintergarden features two large marquees, outdoor bars, festoon lights, heaters and picnic tables.

Highlights of the Wintergarden include the Draughtmasters Bar and the Leffe Abbey Bar.

At the Draughtmasters Bar you can learn the craft of pouring Stella Artois and Hoegaarden using the authentic Belgian nine step pouring process. Done under the supervision of a Belgian Beer Cafe bar staff member, on the spot prizes will be awarded for the most ‘perfect pour’ and an eventual winner will be invited to participate in the Melbourne Belgian Beer Café World Draughmasters finals in August.

A Leffe Abbey bar has been set up and will exclusively serve Leffe beer such as Leffe Blonde and Leffe Brune. Our knowledgeable barmen will not only be on hand to serve drinks but also relate the long and rich history of the Leffe Abbey brewery.

On Sunday’s the Wintergarden be will serving a traditional Sunday roast from the outdoor rotisserie oven. The dining experience will be complimented by Sunday live entertainment with Melbourne’s top Jazz, Salsa, Funk, Latin and Cabaret performers entertaining crowds through the Sunday afternoon.

The Wintergarden will also host special events will include a ‘Christmas in July” party as well as a Belgian National Day celebration.
